Tatparya (Summary)
Thus, this complete collection of one
thousand divine, transcendental names of Lord Keshava—the Supreme Soul who is
uniquely worthy of all praise—has been fully and systematically sung without
leaving any gaps.
Bhashya (Commentary)
Kesava is the supreme, primordial form of Lord Vishnu, representing creation, protection, and the ultimate destination of all prayers.
Just as all rivers are bound by nature to empty into the ocean, the lower devatas are bound by Dharma to direct all ultimate worship to Keshava, because He alone is capable of granting Moksha (liberation). Lower deities can grant material boons, but final liberation can only be authorized by Vishnu.
The term Mahatman does not imply an attribute-less consciousness, but rather a Supreme Being possessing an infinitely vast form of pure, eternal, and flawless virtues (Samagra-Guṇa-Pūrṇatva). Because there is absolute non-difference between the Lord and His names (Nāma-Nāmi Abheda), these names are Divya (transcendental). They are not arbitrary human labels, but literal indicators of His independent, auspicious attributes, proving that Sri Hari alone is Kīrtanīya—the ultimate and primary object of all speech and praise.
य इदं शृणुयान्नित्यं यश्चापि परिकीर्तयेत् ।

· इदम् (idam): This (the thousand names).
· नित्यम् (nityam): Constantly /daily.

· यः च अपि (yaḥ ca api): And whoever also.
· परिकीर्तयेत् (parikīrtayet): Recites /Chants flawlessly.
· सः (saḥ): That person.
· इह (iha): In this present material world.
· च (ca): And.
· अमुत्र (amutra): In the next world / the afterlife (including higher spiritual realms).
· किञ्चित् (kiñcit): Even a minute amount of.
· अशुभम् (aśubham): Inauspiciousness / sin / suffering.
· न प्राप्नुयात् (na prāpnuyāt): Shall never encounter/attain.
Tatparya (Summary)
Any human being who regularly listens to this Sahasranama with devotion, or chants it daily, will never encounter any inauspiciousness or spiritual degradation, either in this life or in the life hereafter.
Bhashya
This verse affirms the foundational Dvaita tenet that bondage and suffering are real, and their removal occurs solely through Bhakti Prasada (the Lord's grace earned via devotion). By using the phrase iha ca amutra (here and hereafter), the text explicitly rejects the monistic Mayavada view that the material world is a total illusion (mithya); instead, it establishes both realms as real stages where the soul experiences the active, protective grace of Vishnu. Regular listening (śṛṇuyāt) and chanting (parikīrtayet) function as primary limbs of Sad-bhakti that destroy unmanifest sins (Aprarabdha Karma) and soften currently manifesting difficulties (Prarabdha), transforming worldly hardships into a purifying experience under the Lord's independent will.
Sloka 3/32

- ब्राह्मणः (brāhmaṇaḥ):A Brahmana (the seeker of wisdom/priestly class).

- स्यात् (syāt):Becomes / achieves.

Tatparya (Summary)
By chanting this Sahasranama, a Brahmana attains mastery over Vedanta; a Kshatriya achieves absolute victory; a Vaishya accumulates immense wealth; and a Shudra is blessed with profound happiness and peace.
Bhashya
This shloka beautifully mirrors the doctrine of Svarūpa-Taratamya and Yogyata (inherent spiritual differences and fitness among individual souls), where the fruits of chanting are perfectly granted according to each soul's natural spiritual capacity and specific social duties (Dharma). In this context, a Brahmana becoming Vedāntagaḥ does not signify realizing identity with a featureless Brahman; rather, as Sri Madhvacharya asserts in the Brahma Sutra Bhashya, it means attaining the ultimate realization that Lord Narayana is the absolute, independent, and primary meaning of every Vedic sound (Mukhya-Artha). Secular rewards like victory (vijaya) or wealth (dhana) are not mere materialistic gains, but are granted by Sri Hari to be utilized in Bhagavad-Arpana-Buddhi (offering back to God), which purifies the mind and leads to genuine devotion.
