Exposition of SVSN # 48-196-346 Padmanabha–The Primordial Source Exposition on Padmanabha Padmanabha means the One who has a lotus-like navel, or the One who has the lotus in His navel that has given birth to creation. The lotus stalk that emerged from His navel ( nabhi ) at the time of the universal dawn unfurled into a magnificent lotus ( Padma / Kamala ), in the midst of which appeared Lord Brahma, marking the beginning of the Padma Kalpa . As Padmanabha, Lord Vishnu is the primordial and supreme Prajapati (the One who procreates)—the One who has given birth to the Srishtikarta Brahma. Upon the successful completion of King Maha Bali's ritual land donation, Lord Vamana manifested His awe-inspiring cosmic form as Trivikrama. With His very first stride, the Supreme Lord measured the entirety of the Earth and the nether worlds. His second monumental step pierced through the celestial realms, reaching the absolute zenith of the universe—Satya Loka, the sacred abode of Lord Brahma. As the Lord's foot reached this highest plane, divine, sacred waters emanated directly from His lotus feet. Beholding...
