Preface: A Journey of Devotional Learning

 Preface

A Journey of Devotional Learning

The Background

For 18 years, I have walked the path of a spiritual blogger under the pen name Bhargavasarma (Nirikhi Krishna Bhagavan). What began as a journey for novices evolved eight years ago into a dedicated community: “Hari Sarvottama-Vaayu Jeevottama for novice understanding.” Today, this family has grown to over 16,000 followers with more than 4 million blog views, all centered on the principles of Dvaita-Tattvavaada.

A Learner’s Perspective

I speak not as a scholar, but as a lifelong student. My philosophy remains: “What I know is Shunya (zero); what I have yet to know is Anantha (infinite).” These writings are not scholarly theses but the fruits of study, research, and Bhagawad Prerana. I am guided entirely by the merits of past lives and the boundless Karuna of Sri GuruRayaru.

My Sankalpa and Seva

My mission is to deepen spiritual awareness and inspire others toward the path of SriHari-Vayu-GuruRayaru. I consider myself an Arbhaka (child/beginner) performing a minuscule service. This commentary on the Sri Vishnu Sahasranama is a manifestation of the grace of Mantralaya Guru Sarvabhouma Sri Raghavendra Swamy.

As Lord Krishna assures in the Bhagavad Gita (Chapter 6), sincere spiritual efforts are never lost; they persist as poorva janma vaasana, guiding us across lifetimes. The seeds of this sadhana were sown at age 11 by Sri Sujayeendra Theertharu and guided Sri Visvesha Theertharu.

After decades of long career in senior management, the ultimate turning point arrived 22 years ago upon meeting Sri Sushameendra Theertharu of Mantralayam. Through his anugraha, I transitioned to this path of Seva. I am but a Nimitta“Nimitta-mātraṁ bhava savya-sāchin.”

The "Silver Lining" & Motivation

When asked why I would write another commentary when scholarly works already exist, the answer lies in the response of the seekers. Followers have shared that this "noble method is like a lamp on our path." My goal is simply to share YathaArtha Jnaana (correct knowledge) in a way that is accessible and deeply rooted in devotion.

Nishkama Seva…

To ensure these insights endure, I have consolidated them into over 100 scripts and 54 eBooks, available freely on Google Drive and Archive.org. This is a Nishkama Seva—I seek no commercial benefit. My sole Pravrutti is to spread the glory of Hari-Vaayu-GuruRayaru.

The Path Ahead

This commentary on Sri Vishnu Sahasranama is an Arbhaka Prayatna. Following a Prerana-led flow, I will share insights on specific naamas as inspired, rather than in strict sequence, eventually codifying them into a final eBook. I humbly request scholars to overlook any lapses in my understanding and offer guidance for my correction.

Voices from the Journey

While scholarly works on the Sri Vishnu Sahasranama are abundant, the inspiration for this specific commentary—the "Silver Lining"—comes from the heartfelt encouragement of the seeker community. These voices reinforce the belief that simple, devotion-rooted sharing has a vital place alongside traditional scholarship.

A Source of Encouragement & Patronage

  • "I'M REALLY PROUD OF YOU. Kudos to you. You have done a wonderful job. Let many more books come out to help needy people. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸೇವೆ ಅನವರತ ಮುಂದುವರೆಯಲಿ…" (May your service continue uninterrupted).
  • Is it possible for you to write meaning of each sloka of Vishnu Sahasranamam in your words. I do have the meaning of this wonderful Stotram. "Your way of explaining the stotra is incomparable and gives positive vibes for those who read with devotion. I have a suggestion: we can publish the book once all the meanings are posted. I’ll be happy to bear the cost... eagerly waiting."

·        "Sometimes I feel it would be wonderful to learn Vishnu Sahasranaama online by you. You can start a batch. A lot of people would be blessed."

A Guiding Light on the Path

  • "Nimma volleya paddati heluva riti namage dari deepavagide" (Your noble method and way of telling is like a lamp on our path).

On the Impact of "YathaArtha Jnaana"

  • "Your books are Golden; they need no BIS Hallmark certification. Every PDF is a rare gem for eternal reading... Your posts have become reference books for people like me."
  • "Honestly, my life has changed after reading your posts. I am now a deeply spiritual person thanks to your educative posts... It’s some Purva Janma connection."

On the Service of the "Arbhaka" (Humble Learner)

  • "Like the Ganga flowing through parched lands brings relief, so the bhakti river flows through your work and brings peace to tormented souls."
  • "An amazing eBook from none other than bhargavasarma, whom I religiously follow... and who has written some amazing eBooks on several different occasions. The value you have put in these books is priceless."

A Blessing from the Elders

  • "Please continue your service until the Lord of Lords tells you to discontinue. Your services are needed for several Madhwas." — Justice R. Gururajan

A Final Note of Gratitude

To all the scholars and seekers who grace my timeline: your presence is both a blessing and a guide. If you find value in these pages, it is only due to the Apaara Karuna (limitless compassion) of Sri Guru Rayaru. These reflections serve as a reminder that this Seva is reaching the hearts of those it was intended for—the novice seekers on the path of Sadhana

Dhanyavaad.
